We chose all General Electric GE Profile™ Appliances for the kitchen and the laundry room. For the kitchen, we upgraded all appliances to stainless steel, and opted for several higher-end models, such as the French door refrigerator and the large gas range. If you pay attention, you will notice that the appliance handles and the cabinet pulls complement each other well. This is a design touch that was not accidental.

As for “under the hood,” or, in this case, under the sink … there’s a whole horse! I have been disappointed in the past by 1/3 hp and even 1/2 hp garbage “dispose-somes,” so I took my mother’s advice and went for the most powerful model available by InSinkErator — the Evolution Excel®. Boy, is it quiet — and powerful. It eats chicken bones and even corn cobs without complaining.
