We have 23 windows in our Promenade (including the two sets of double French doors, two stairwell windows, one octagonal entry window, and five high transom windows). It’s a shame to cover them up. However, to protect our privacy, our eyesight, and our belongings, we chose some beautiful and functional window shades, for all but the entry, stairwell, and transom windows, to do the trick. I have always wanted practical bottom-up/top-down window coverings. Jerry Rebb at Abda Custom Window Fashions provided the perfect solution. And, his value outshined any competition. We chose Comfortex lightweight cordless top-down/bottom-up 3/4-inch honeycomb shades in a lovely taupe color that perfectly matches our interior wall paint color. These are installed on all 15 primary windows, upstairs and down. Another reason for selecting these under-stated shades is to not overshadow the decorative draperies in the living room and master bedroom when I come to adding these designer touches to the interior.

Once we are totally settled and I get to posting our before and after photos, you’ll see even more views of these wonderful shades. Stay tuned …
